Doble Nueve ("the app"), developed by MadenLabs (a brand of MADEN LABS, LLC), respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
What we collect
- Account: when you continue as a guest, an anonymous identifier is created (via Supabase Auth). We do not ask for your real name, phone number or address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we store the email address those services return, and use it only to recognise your account and to contact you if needed.
- Game data: display name, ELO, in-game coins, match statistics and equipped skins. This is used to save your progress and sync it across your devices.
- Microphone (live voice): during a match with voice, your audio is transmitted in real time to the other players at your table through our voice server (LiveKit, self-hosted). We do not record, store or share that audio; it is only relayed while you speak. You can mute your microphone at any time.
- Messages between friends: if you use chat, the text of your messages is stored in our database. That is the difference with voice, and we explain it below.
- Notifications: if you allow them, we store the notification identifier that Apple or Google assigns to your device. It is used only to tell you a new message arrived, on its own it does not identify you, and it stops working if you uninstall the app or withdraw the permission in your system settings. The alert does not include the message text: it says who wrote to you, and you have to open the app to read it.
- App usage: usage events (which screens are opened, when a match starts and ends) and crash reports, so we can tell what breaks and what goes unused.
Messages between friends
Chat between friends arrives with version 6.0. What follows describes how it works and applies from the moment you can use it. If your app does not have it yet, you have not updated.
Chat exists only between people who have accepted each other as friends, is text only, and each message is capped at 500 characters. Besides text you can send domino tiles and add reactions: both come from a closed catalogue we define, so it is not content you upload but picking an option from a list. Photos, files and audio cannot be sent.
- Who sees them: the two people in the conversation. Nobody else reads them routinely.
- Automatic filter: before being sent, the text is checked against a list of prohibited terms. If it matches the most serious ones, the message is not sent and is not stored; the attempt is recorded so we can act on that account. This is automated, with no human involved.
- If someone reports a message: that message and the surrounding messages may be read by a member of our team in order to decide what to do. This is the only situation in which a human reads a private conversation, and it is what lets us respond to reports.
- How long they last: for as long as the friendship lasts. If you block someone, remove a friend or report a message, the conversation stops being visible right away and is permanently deleted after 30 days. A message with an unresolved report is kept until the report is resolved.
- Reports: we keep the report, the reported message and what was decided. If an account involved is deleted, the report is kept anonymised (with no reference to who it was) so we can act on patterns of abuse.
What we do NOT do
- We do not show ads.
- We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that make the app work, listed below, and only so the app works.
- We do not use advertising trackers or the advertising identifier (IDFA).
- We do not read your conversations unless someone reports a specific message.
- We do not process or store payment data: the optional "Doble Nueve Oro" subscription is handled by the store (App Store / Google Play). In-game coins are virtual and only buy cosmetics.
Where the data lives
- Supabase — account, game data and messages.
- LiveKit, on our own server — live voice, which passes through and is not persisted.
- Firebase (Google) — usage analytics, crash reports and delivering notifications. For that it receives your device identifier and the alert, which does not carry the message text.
- RevenueCat — subscription status, so we know whether your account has Oro. It receives no card data: that stays with the store.
- Apple / Google — if you sign in with them, to verify who you are, and the stores for billing.
Your rights
You can delete your account and data from
Settings → Delete account inside the app, or by emailing us at
[email protected]. Doing so deletes your profile, your progress and your messages; moderation reports are kept anonymised, as explained above. You can also stop using voice by muting your microphone or denying its permission in your system settings. See
how to delete your account.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. We absolutely prohibit any child sexual abuse or exploitation material; if we find any, we act on the account and report it to the competent authorities. To report a case, write to [email protected].
